Overview

Located in Yuma County, Arizona, the Yuma Solar Energy Center is a combined solar and battery storage installation engineered and constructed by DEPCOM Power. The site features 70 MWdc of photovoltaic capacity paired with 70 MW of battery energy storage, providing flexible, reliable power delivery.


DEPCOM managed the full EPC scope—spanning civil site work, procurement of solar modules, inverters, trackers, and battery units, through to electrical integration and utility interconnection. The system is contracted to Arizona Public Service (APS) and began commercial operations in April 2025.


The project drove over 250 jobs during construction and established six full-time O&M positions, reinforcing DEPCOM’s commitment to delivering scalable infrastructure with local economic impact.
