Overview
Puerto Rico

DEPCOM Power is currently engineering and constructing a combined solar and energy storage facility in Salinas, Puerto Rico. Known as the Ciro One project, the site includes a 90 MWdc solar array paired with a 51.5 MW / 206 MWh battery energy storage system. The facility is designed to deliver steady, grid-supporting power in a region with increasing demand for energy stability and localized generation.

In conjunction with local partners, DEPCOM is executing all major aspects of project delivery—from civil and electrical design to procurement, logistics, and construction—on a site with complex geographic and interconnection requirements. DEPCOM’s integrated project approach ensures coordinated delivery of both the solar and storage systems, optimized for performance and reliability in Puerto Rico’s unique operating environment.

This project aligns with the island’s broader efforts to diversify its energy infrastructure and support renewable integration across remote and grid-constrained areas.

Scope of Work:
  • Full EPC execution for a 90 MWdc solar PV array and 51.5 MW / 206 MWh battery storage system
  • Dual-technology integration on a single site with utility-scale interconnection
  • Island-based logistics, permitting, and workforce coordination
  • System commissioning aligned with grid stability and energy delivery standards
